Nigeria’s D’Tigers will take on Uganda and Cape Verde in the 2025 FIBA AfroBasket qualifiers.
The draws for the qualifiers was posted on FIBA AfroBasket X handle on Friday.
D’Tigers will take on Uganda, Cape Verde and a team from either Zone 1 or Zone 2 in Group B.
The qualifying groups for the continental showpiece are from A to E
Groups B, D and E will play in February 2024 while groups A and C will play in November 2024.

Other teams involved in the qualifiers are Angola, Mali, Senegal, Cameroon, Rwanda and Côte d’Ivoire.
Also, Egypt, South Sudan, Democratic Republic of Congo, Tunisia, Guinea and Kenya will feature.
After the conclusion of the qualifiers 16 teams will emerge and take part in the 2025 edition whose host is yet to be decided.
D’Tigers have only won the AfroBasket once, which was in 2015 when they beat Angola in the final.
