Rwanda recorded their first win in Group D of the AFCON 2025 qualifiers after coming from behind to defeat Benin Republic 2-1 on Tuesday.
The defeat leaves Rwanda on five points in third place and Benin Republic remain second on six points.
Nigeria’s Super Eagles maintain Top spot on seven points, despite not playing their matchday 4 clash with Libya who remain bottom.
On Tuesday CAF announced that the game between Libya and the Super Eagles jas been called off.
The decision was taken after the Super Eagles players refused to go ahead with the game due to the Libyan authorities diverting their plane to another airport and delaying them there for over 10 hours.

You watch matches like these especially on the African continent where refereeing abracadabra practically hands all 3 points to the home team, done so glaringly that the referee had to be escorted from the field after the game by more than 10 security officers, yet one illiterate lowlife whose biggest achievement in life is having a sticker stamped on his passport will say Nigeria alone is the target of WAFU, CAF and FIFA.

The penalty that made the game 2-1 was not a penalty. The beninoise player got the ball. It’s similar to what happened just the other weekend in the Newcastle vs Everton game in the EPL. VAR checked it and it was a no penalty decision. The defending player got to the ball before the attacking player clean and clear. THE PENALTY AWARDED TO RWANDA WAS NEVER A PENALTY.
While in the 91st minute, Beniniose no 7 was clearly stamped in the box after releasing the cut back…it’s a similar situation when onyeka stamped on an Algerian player in the 2-1 friendly loss under peseiro. VaR checked it and it was a penalty.
