Former Liverpool forward John Aldridge says the club are still short of the required depth to challenge on four fronts.
The Reds have shone in the Premier League this season and currently sit four points clear of Manchester City, while they also battled through a tough Champions League group.

However, Jurgen Klopp has found life difficult when choosing to rotate in the cup competitions, losing to Chelsea at the first time of asking in the EFL Cup and going out to Wolves in the third round of the FA Cup.
Klopp’s ultimate goal is to compete in every competition and Aldridge believes the squad is still short on the necessary quality to go all out on every front.
“I am bothered about going out because I wanted to see Liverpool win the FA Cup,” he wrote in the Liverpool Echo.
“You don’t want to have all your eggs in one basket. Look at Man City and Spurs, they are still competing on four fronts. Why shouldn’t we? “Monday night proved that the squad isn’t as strong as we thought it was.
“Klopp will know that for us to challenge on all fronts next season he’s going to need more depth. “He needs another three or four players. A really good striker is a necessity because I don’t think we’ve got enough firepower as back up.”
