Eguavoen: We’ll Do Everything To Help Troost-Ekong Rediscover His Best For Eagles

    Austin AkhilomenBy Austin AkhilomenDecember 19, 2021Updated:December 19, 202160 Comments1 Min Read

Super Eagles interim coach, Austine Eguavoen has assured that he would do everything to ensure that Watford defender, William Troost-Ekong rediscovered his best form before the commencement of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

Ekong has come under heavy criticisms due to his errors at Watford which has cost his team maximum points in the Premier League.

However, in an interview with Brila FM, Eguavoen insisted that his team of psychologists are on the ground to motivate him to help him rediscover his best again.

“Our psychologist has a big role to play as does the Coaches and the entire team to help lift the confidence of Troost-Ekong,” Eguavoen said.

“He’s also a very strong player and we trust we can help him come through this rough patch.”

Now you talking. LMFAO!!!! Honestly this is the first time something positive is coming out from “our own”. Yes I had to use “our own” because he has started exhibit the spirit of his predecessor. LMAO!!! A good coach, tactician doesn’t abandon a player facing tough or rough moment because some newbies who are on fire are around to replace him.. No!He helps him get out of it…

Let the psychologists do thier best to help him but plz and plz again, don’t play him during Afcon,he will be a disaster in our defense, play balogun, awaziem and akpoguma as CB thanks, when he regains his form ,he can start playing

The nation’s cup requires experience and not school boy kind of game. Akpoguma is not even fit for Eagles bench. Ekong, a defender that’s also scoring goals? Bench Ekong to the your peril.

I am reassured that the Super Eagles is on course. The Nigerian Coach, Eguavoen, has been on the right side of history and must continue. I told this forum sometimes ago that my first 11 includes Troost Ekong, it wasn’t just because of his defense capabilities but when the chips are down, Ekong is on the rescue scoring great goals. A fast track into the recent past should unearth that position. Good luck Ekong, God bless Nigeria.

When a coach that knows his onions talks, you know one. Here is a manager, coach and a father figure to his lads. One of the things lacking in the SE for a long time. Some coaches would’ve listened to the wayfarers by dropping his golden player for no just cause, over little things that happens 8n football games. The Super Eagles Head Coach won my heart. Good luck Head Coach Eguavoen.

That is the spirit, Chief Eguavoen. You are already doing all the right things. May heaven bring you success. Players like Ekong the king Kong need our support at their time of need. We should always help then back to their feet when they lose form which is what Chief Eguavoen (the real deal) is doing. Heaven bless all deserving Super Eagles players and all supportive Super Eagles coaches.

Eguavoen must exclude Troost Ekong from this tournment , cause he is shaky and weak stupid player who can cost Super Eagles a big disaster.

You are now seeing what I am seeing with coach Eguavoen Nigerians?

Our own have learned their lessons.

Indigenous coaches have no knowledge of man management in the past and I don’t think the name “man management” is in their dictionary but now, I thank God that they have learned that from Oga Rohr.

Mr. No nonsense is trying to fix this and adding man management skills to their work, foriegn coach have no place in the Super Eagles anymore.

If coach Eguavoen improve Super Eagles and impress Nigerians in Cameroon then he will lead Super Eagles to Qatar if we qualify to the world cup. That is for sure.

If you have to succeed with your team as a coach, you have to be a father not a coach.

You have to be like a big brother to your players so that they can relate with you.

Now, I am so elated that this our man, Mr. No nonsense will continue from where Oga Rohr stopped.

I have told you Nigerians before the departure of Mr. Gernot Rohr that it is possible to build a strong team within the short of period with the support of the NFF because, our players are professionals and the new gaffer is not new to the team.

I hope the former fans of Oga Rohr can see what Mr. No nonsense is bringing to the world?

This is the new era kę and I am telling you all that if NFF are ready and in support of good things, they should back Mr. Eguavoen to do his job to his strength.

I know what am talking about kę. Our own understand the way we think and the way we react about football.

Hmmm. They comprehend the situation we found ourselves in this country and they know exactly what they have to do to unite us.

No disrespect to Oga Rohr. The French man did not know our value. The German coach didn’t know our pedigree in football.

Now that our own are in charge, I am expecting NFF to do more after the Afcon in Cameroon.

I am not pleased with other coaches in the Super Eagles currently.

Salisu Yusuf, Aigbogun and Agu have to be replaced if Nigeria have to achieve more in football.

If you are still in doubt that you have no confidence in coach Eguavoen, you better have a rethink.

It is possible to have a strong team and ring changes to the Super Eagles style of play before the kick of the tournament in Cameroon.

Although, time is not on our side but Mr. Eguavoen can still bring the best out of our team.

However, don’t forget that Oga Rohr have built a team already and what Mr. No nonsense have to do is to bring his own ideas to the team.

On the other hand, Troost Ekong is not a lazy player. What is facing now is not a life time thing but it’s manageable.

Ekong is facing his own challenges now, I thank God on his behalf and I am Super excited that Mr. Eguavoen is there to help him.

Let’s support our own. No time to waste time. Ire o. God bless Nigeria!!!

But if you keep listening to all those dumb sh*t your blind followers tell you to do by flooding everywhere in the list with all those rookies, then am afraid you will be heading for the rocks…

@Chima, don’t worry bro the list would be out soon, Dikko and Aigbgun still busy comparing envelopes, some players would be invited based on the weight of their envelopes. Eguavoen, Pinnick and other NFF goons must celebrate Xmas big time.

Ekong’s left foot is nuch weaker than his right. It results in miskicks and feeble passing and clearance under pressure. As a former defender himself Eguavoen knows a psychologist cannot correct that.

I dont suggest that ekong be dropped from the team. He can be included in the team but we should let there be fairness in the selection of starting players. The very best should start even if it means that players LIKE ekong will be benched.

The same Eguavoen that you criticized that he’s lazy to do his work during the Mexico debacle is now your messiah Lmao!! I’m absolutely certain that you can’t beat your chest that Eguavoen will win the AFCON for us in Cameroon. As far as I know the players are already there I just hope the coaching crew have the technical and tactical skills to bring out the best in the boys.

I think if I have not been shanty Eguavoen,
          Amunike,
          Egbo,
          Marnu Gerba,
          Finidi,
          Peter Rufai,
          Enyeama and
Ikeme names to be coming the next Super Eagles coaches, Nigerians are not stupid, they should have bn here today in numbers to tell me I am a big lier. But they are not.

Nigerians also knew who is fooling them between you Ayphillydegreat and I, omo9ja a son of his soil.

You Ayphillydegreat and your company have no where to hide. Oga Rohr is gone for the betterment of our football if NFF are ready to support our own.

I am in support of “our own” if chosen the best among them because they understand the way we feel and the kind of brand football we play.

Salisu Yusuf, Aigbogun and Agu can never build Nigeria the best team.

“Lmao!! So you now think Eguavoen has learnt man management from Oga Rohr”?

That shows you that I call a spade a spade.

I love Oga Rohr too much during
the world cup qualifiers but after the world cup in Russia, I made a quick reverse. I don’t follow people blindly.

I knew it right away that Oga Rohr should be replaced after the world cup in Russia.

You the former fans of Oga Rohr were the one begging NFF/we the patriotic Nigerians to give Oga Rohr a second chance while we/NFF did but no improvement.

And you people are still fausing Oga Rohr on us until last minute NFF decided to let go of Oga Rohr.

Long story short, I can understand that it is very painful to see that the gaffer is no longer in control of the Super Eagles. This is why many
of you the former followers of Oga Rohr are angry with us the innocent citizens.

In that regard, stop playing with my intelligence @Ayphillydegreat. You were not in support of local coaches kę.

How come you are now claiming for coach Eguavoen? This is very strange to me.

          Nigerians
knew the truth in what you just said. Nigerians are watching.

I will advise you to support “our own” period. God bless Nigeria!!!

You’re a liar you never mention Eguavoen name it’s mostly Amunike you’ve shouting up And down the place. Nobody cares about Rohr it’s the SuperEagles that matters to us. Coaches are hired to be fired and we never in any way object to him been let go it’s just the timing that most fans including most of you and co are concerned about. Wether foreign or local all we want is the cup and we sure have the players to achieve that. Let us see the list wether it won’t the same players we’ve been seeing over the last 5 years

Really? Seriously huh? It is very clear today that Nigerians are the problem of Nigeria.

Who does that kę. How would say it will take time to build a good team while the gaffer already spent 4 years in charge of Eagles Eagles kę?

I think Mr. Rohr is trying to build us mount Kilimanjaro? That is why Mr. Eguavoen is asking for more time like APC party that taking Nigeria to the next level of poverty and insecurity.

            Again, who is fooling who?

What can we say to this kę. Long story short, Oga Ayphillydegreat, read section 50 50 of my constitution to Mr. Eguavoen make I hear wella.

Oh, you can’t read it ba? What happened kę lolz? Because you love Oga Rohr and you don’t want to disappoint Oga Rohr fans. Kai, akoba gafara o.

How about you Oga Deo? You don’t want to read the section 50 50 because the truth in that section is too much. Okay which section would you really like to read kę?

However, what can both of you say to this matter because two of you have been backing the coach since his start of his job in Nigeria.

Aghahowa and Dosu have spoken and now Mr. Eguavoen. Do you think we should go ahead and give Oga Rohr 2000 years to build us aso rock?

Chai, ah, chai, who is fooling who @UBFE?

Mr. Sean and Edoman, can you both see clearly now that I don’t hate Mr. Rohr?

Mercy and Glory can testify to it that I love Super Eagles so much and I can’t open my two eyes koro koro like this letting Super Eagles turn to kerewa kerewawa team.

Did you think we will not remember how you lambasted Eguavoen in the past? I also remember once, you said Eguavoen is corrupt, he has started eating dodo with the NFF officials. Did you not say that? Yes, you did!
Now you’re here calling him Mr. No Nonsense. So you no longer want Amunike and Egbo, abi? Eguavoen is now the new object of your fantasies.
      I laugh in Kaskatchewan.

Lolz. You Oga Rohr fans can’t rope me. No not today @Pompei and Ayphillydegreat. I can’t stop laughing Lolz.

I don’t need to waste much time on this kę.

The question you people should be asking yourselves is, what happened on that trend? Why did omo9ja say things like that?

Why Eguavoen decided to back NFF.

I don’t talk just any how you know now. I love Eguavoen and I know his limit and for him to talk like that, I’m
        highly disappointed in him.

I was the first person to mention Eguavoen to be the next coach of the Super Eagles. Indeed, I have been mentioning Amunike and Egbo but later on I added Finidi George and Eguavoen to the list.

And I decided to remove Finidi George’s name from the list because he’s in charge of Enyimba FC. He may not be available.

So, you called me chameleon because i don’t follow people blindly?

Do you think if President Buhari decided to rule Nigeria the way he should be today, don’t be surprised if you see me praying for him. That is me. Because I want the best for my country.

I am doing this to bring the best out of our leaders. I did that during Keshi, Siasia and Amokachi’s era. Does that mean we were enemies then? Does that mean I hate them? Does that mean am a chameleon? Ahba, don’t rope me you former Oga Rohr followers.

You people should be the one I call chameleon. You switched from Oga Rohr to local coach. You people that hate to hear or see our ex players and local coach to be in charge of the Super Eagles? Chai. Na wa oo. No wahala.

I have told you people, remember? When the time comes, I know you all. Now, the time has come and you people are pretending to be among those that supporting our local coaches/ ex players.

Before you people can join we patriotic Nigerians, firstly, you people should apologize to Nigeria and we patriotic Nigerians then you can take Nigeria back.

Just fine another thing to say people. Kai, niboni motunwajasi bayi o Nigerians lolz. Chameleon? Kai, akoba gafara o o o. Ire o. God bless Nigeria!!!

The good thing about Jose Peseiro is that he was an assistant coach at Real Madrid, working with Jose Mourinho. So let’s hope for the best. Although going by his results with Venezuela, we may be in for a rough ride.
All we can do now is hope he can use the talents we have available to produce. He doesn’t need to be world class to do this. Just needs to know what he’s doing.
        Let’s hope for the best.

@Pompei i also read it in his profile but the fact Venezuella occupy the last place in the World Cup qualifiers makes me doubt his ability to bring any difference to the super eagles. I just hope he makes the difference anyway if eventually he gets the job. However, i think we deserve better.

Rohr is 100% better than that Paseiro or whatever is his name. Rohr has more pedigree than him. If we can’t employ a better foreign coach or a coach at Rohrs level with advance tactics, then I see no reason we sacked him. Our lack of patience will definitely come back to hunt us. Let us allow Equavon go to AFCON or is he scared? Why rush in another foreign coach? This is madness from NFF and we have to rise up together and stop them.
