Super Eagles interim coach, Austine Eguavoen has assured that he would do everything to ensure that Watford defender, William Troost-Ekong rediscovered his best form before the commencement of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
Ekong has come under heavy criticisms due to his errors at Watford which has cost his team maximum points in the Premier League.
However, in an interview with Brila FM, Eguavoen insisted that his team of psychologists are on the ground to motivate him to help him rediscover his best again.
“Our psychologist has a big role to play as does the Coaches and the entire team to help lift the confidence of Troost-Ekong,” Eguavoen said.
“He’s also a very strong player and we trust we can help him come through this rough patch.”

Behold our new super eagles coach lol. I don’t understand why NFF have to always rely on old school coaches to recommend a foreign coach to them. Wenger recommended Rhor and now it’s mourinho who has to recommend another 61 years old man as coach to NFF lol. May God help us in this country.
Lol now i can relate to why NFF Onigbese is bringing José Peseiro to coach super eagles cuz he is already used to being owed salaries by Venezuella football administrators for over a year lol. Naija i hail !!! NFF i hail una ooo !!!

Lol @pompei thanks but i just can’t wait for Pinnick tenure to be over. I wish our well deserving ex internationals can start occupying that post and other positions in the glass house so things can be done accordingly since they’re exposed.
And least i forget to add Venezuela’s national soccer team is in last place in South America’s World Cup qualifying standings and practically eliminated from contention for Qatar 2022. Lol !!! The good thing about Jose Peseiro is that he was an assistant coach at Real Madrid, working with Jose Mourinho. So let’s hope for the best. Although going by his results with Venezuela, we may be in for a rough ride.
All we can do now is hope he can use the talents we have available to produce. He doesn’t need to be world class to do this. Just needs to know what he’s doing.

@Pompei i also read it in his profile but the fact Venezuella occupy the last place in the World Cup qualifiers makes me doubt his ability to bring any difference to the super eagles. I just hope he makes the difference anyway if eventually he gets the job.However, i think we deserve better.
Rohr is 100% better than that Paseiro or whatever is his name. Rohr has more pedigree than him. If we can’t employ a better foreign coach or a coach at Rohrs level with advance tactics,then I see no reason we sacked him. Our lack of patience will definitely come back to hunt us. Let us allow Equavon go to AFCON or is he scared? Why rush in another foreign coach? This is madness from NFF and we have to rise up together and stop them.
Error, he is not fit to shine your shoes bros, except if you need the shoe to be stupidly shined. instead after his folly stupidity, let him go and drink more of his kunnu so as to renew his stupidity.
