Manchester United extended their unbeaten run under interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to seven games defeating Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 in Sunday’s English Premier League clash at the Wembley stadium.
Marcus Rashford first half goal secured a hard fought victory for the Red Devils who are now joint fifth in the table with Arsenal, six points adrift the top four.
Harry Kane looked to have given the hosts, Tottenham the lead in the first half, only for his goal to be chalked off by the offside flag.
But it was United who broke the deadlock just before half time, as Paul Pogba’s through ball found Rashford, who raced clear and fired home past Hugo Lloris.
Both sides had plenty of chances in the second half, as De Gea and Lloris were kept on their toes making stunning saves.
The Spaniard denied Fernando Llorente, Dele Alli and Toby Alderweireld from restoring parity while Lloris kept out strikes form Anthony Martial, Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard.
