Adam Quinlan celebrated his return from injury by scoring the winning try as Hull KR shocked Warrington Wolves in Super League. The 26-year-old fullback was making his first appearance since suffering an anterior cruciate knee ligament injury in September, but he marked his return by scoring the decisive try with five minutes remaining to help struggling KR secure a surprise 16-14 win over the high-flying Wire.

Bryson Goodwin scored the only try of the first-half to hand Warrington an 8-4 lead at the break but, roared on by the home support at KCOM Craven Park, KR responded through Mose Masoe’s try, only for Josh Charnley to then quickly restore the visitor’s advantage.
It was Quinlan that had the last laugh, however, while the victory also handed Tony Smith his first win since taking charge of the Robins and it was made all the sweeter as it came against his former club.
KR remain second-bottom of the standings despite the victory but will now have renewed confidence heading into next Thursday’s clash with fellow strugglers London Broncos at Trailfinders Sports Ground. The Humbersiders will also have a new player in their ranks for that match, as Smith confirmed after the Warrington win that they have signed back-rower Luis Johnson on a one-month loan from the Wire.
