    Ademola Lookman

Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman has reiterated that the team’s major goal is to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Lookman, who recently finished 14 in Monday’s Ballon d’Or award in Paris, stated this in a chat with 54footballx, where he said that the players remain committed to achieving the results.

The Atlanta star also urged the players to be consistent in every game they play.

“It has been great. I have known him obviously the coach before because he gave me my first call-up to play for Nigeria, so I know him very well.

“We’ve shown good performances as a team in these Afcon qualifiers and now we need to do better on a consistent basis.

“We’ve won two games and drawn one game, so we will continue in this manner, and try to win our games.

“Obviously the goal is to qualify for the Afcon and World Cup, so we are looking to do those things.”

With inviting bench warmer, inconsistent, irrelevant players into the team; I don’t think is going to be possible.

Don’t mind the ghanaians, instead of them to look for the way to pay the debt they own Nigeria and look for Nigeria favour. They are so foolish to the point that they tag Nigeria as their enemy and rival. The evil they did in the past has already caught up with them. That’s why they keep on falling in the presence of Nigeria.

In every area God has made Nigeria the big brother of Africa nations. Any nation in Africa that see Nigeria as enemy is not wise.

          God bless Nigeria.

With six matches left? You must be joking! There’s definitely a “Renewed Hope” vibe in the air, and it’s about time. Under Eguavoen, we’re seeing a team that’s not just playing, but believing—dominating, even in tough away games. The players are feeling the weight of the situation and actually rising to meet it. The math isn’t impossible: win all home games, grab a couple of away wins, and we’re in.

But the officiating? That’s been a real worry to me. It’s like Lookman can’t buy a goal with these referees. The AFCON, too—those dubious calls are just piling up, even beyond the tournament, and in the absence of VAR during these qualifiers, it feels like we’re being kept out by forces beyond the players’ control. It’s frustrating to watch, and honestly, the NFF should be all over this. Is there a quiet agenda against Nigeria? I wouldn’t say yes, but I can’t rule it out either. Here’s hoping Eguavoen and the boys get a fair shot at what they’re clearly working so hard for.

That’s your own opinion, it’s possible, we can make it through to world cup and Afcon next year.

Glory be to God that the qualification for Afcon is already at hand.

For the world cup. Yes we can.

All what our boys need is determination and focus. The almighty God that did Afcon will surely do world cup for us.

      God bless Nigeria.

      Shame on enemies of Nigeria.

Sorry oh, RSA, Rwanda don’t have God abi? 4 World cup qualifying matches played means over 6 hours of football have been played. If more serious nations took advantage of it and lead the group, why will God suddenly become the God of Nigeria to aid us?

Papafem wrote earlier about lookmans disallowed goal because of no var. He kindly forgets that that happened IN NIGERIA. If Nigeria does not have a var system in even one stadium here, why should we expect other nations to bail us out to their disadvantage.

The truth is that, I don’t trust these players and local coaches to bail us out when the qualifiers reach the business end next year. Since NFF is very stingy to get a quality coach who can outfox teams that will likely park the bus in away matches to gain just a point while we expect outright win, the local coaches will only do their best and las las dwell on the “talents and enthusiasm” of the players (who by the way still put us in that ugly position) to bail us out.

But NO TWO TEAMS ARE QUALIFYING from each group, just one and with several eastern/southern African teams who will likely kowtow for South Africa to “represent” them if the race boils down to one, the matter IS NOT IN OUR HANDS.

[Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Rwanda, South Africa] with Rwanda currently topping and “dreaming”, una never see gangup.

We only need to focus on winning ALL SIX matches so that our opponents can drop points but believe these Eagles at your peril. Artificial turfs, high altitude, strolling to camp 9 hours to match, playing to the gallery and showboating, bench warmers taking slots off active but “inexperienced” call-ups etc are still not going away as excuses to flunk games.

Local coaches will still not have the balls to drop bench warmers or replace show boaters when games become tough or even have plan C tactics when host teams rather die on the pitch than incur the wrath of home fans by losing to us.

I wish NFF luck who are saving Petro dollars by sticking with home grown solutions when our opponents, much poorer than us, have tacticians. We go learn sha
